Church Audio Supply has always offered custom quoted production for most audio cable products. About 10 years ago the floor box market really took off and with it, the need for a plug and play option. Though XLR connectors can be purchased with a "barrel" style that plugs in on both sides, The limited space between the recessed plates and the bottom of the floor box will not allow enough room to fit a common XLR cable connector so connection points required soldering.
Stage designs went from maybe utilizing 1 or 2 boxes to much more extensive box populations. Where a do-it-yourself stage build could manage soldering chores on a couple boxes, a cost to time based assessment of larger stages had a value for our pre wired services. It's also comforting to know all connections are professionally soldered, supported and tested.
If you have already purchased cabling for under the stage then the stock 2' Quick Connect pigtailed floor boxes can be ordered direct from our shopping cart above. But the real cost savings comes from having us wire the boxes the full length run to your input sources. At only 30 cents per foot, per channel, for proper installation rated mic cable, you will probably be saving money and eliminate connection points that can create hum or go bad over time.
And these days, many stage pocket orders don't want just stock XLR female connectors. Many need XLR male returns, speaker roiuting, Data CAT 5/6 inputs or HDMI media connector options... and more. A truly custom build requiring effeciency in cable lengths based on stage positioning.
Once we complete a custom build in approximately 10-14 days, you can just drop you stage box in the floor, run the cables to the input source and you're audio is good to go. Connectors like DATA, HDMI, USB, BNC, etc can be plugged in from both sides with our feedthru "barrel style" connectors. Stage pockets with electrical outlets must also be wired by you or an electrician. All AC outlets have a housing separating the audio and electric for hum free sound.
With the expansion of church service music and home recording studios, recessed floor boxes for live stages and studio routing has really become the core component in clean audio cabling design. No more tripping over box cable snakes or destroying cables that got stepped on. With simple strategic placement on stage edges or near central cable hubs like a drum riser, these floor boxes clear your performance area of audio, video and power cabling There is virtually no down side to installing them.
The costs of buying these boxes can be off-set in the protection of your stage cables since the cables are recessed into the box through the mouse hole gaps. The box lids can be closed flat protecting your cable investment. The lids are durable enough to be walked on and rolled over.
